  • Original language description

The book Psychomotor Therapy and Physical Self-concept is a sequel of a series of previous books, which are dealing with psychomotor therapy as a supportive healing rehabilitation method not only for psychiatric patients, individuals with physical disability, but also for relatively mentally and physically healthy people. The publication responds to the needs of modern time, which is related to the increasing interest in individuals, its inner sources, support in personal development and growth. The integral part of such approach is the interest in body and the way the individual percieves it. The problematics of physical self-concept seems to be very current interdisciplinary topic, which may be observed from different angles. The first part of the book contains chapters referring to theoretical foundation and historic context of the topic. In the second part the reader meets the practical application of psychomotor therapy and the way it is percieved in various european countries (e.g.Belgium, Italy, Poland etc.), in the context of physical self-concept.
