Podkrušnohoří , the area under the Ore Mountains, was one of the most anthropogenically affected areas in the Czech Republic in the second half of the 20th century. Long-term unilateral focus on economy, on quarrrying industry, on energetics and chemicalindustry eroded the landscape heavily, as well as the conditions for human life. In the 21st century industrial activities are decrementing gradually and the renewal of the landscape and its functions follows up. The issue of the area renewal is a partof the project solution WD-44-07-1 " Model solution of revitalizing industrial regions and areas of coal mining shown at the example of Podkrušnohoří" .

Czech description
Podkrušnohoří patřilo ve 2.polovině 20.století mezi nejvíce antropogenně postižená území v ČR. Dlouhodobě jednostranné zaměření ekonomiky na těžební průmysl, energetiku a chemický průmysl vážně narušilo krajinu, ale i podmínky pro život člověka. V 21.století postupně dochází k útlumu industriálních činností a k postupné obnově krajiny a jejích funkcí. Problematika obnovy území je součástí řešení projektu WD-44-07-1 ?Modelové řešení revitalizace průmyslových regionů a území po těžbě uhlí na příkladu Podkrušnohoří.?
