Small streams' rehabilitations in the northern region of the Czech Republic
Original language description
Due to the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC an improvement of situation of rivers and small watercourses in Europe was considered to be necessary. An ecological stability of these ecosystems seems to be quite meaningful. The basic thing is an improvement of a water retention in the small streams catchments which will bring a renovation of disturbed natural processes such as an ecological landscape stability or a natural antiflood ability of watercourses. Two examples of small watercourse rehabilitation are observed on a premises of the Faculty of the Environment - Černý potok stream and Modla river.
