Optimalization of reclamation processes in an anthropogenically affected landscape

  • Original language description

The contribution aims to unify the procedures for the creation of anthropogenic soil profiles in the mining areas of the Ore Mountains foothills (Podkrušnohoří) and to present a comprehensive overview of the possibilities of using permanent grasslands in soil protection with a focus on the Ústí nad Labem Region in the Podkrušnohoří area, especially the wider area of the Most Basin, where the creation of anthropogenic soil profiles is an essential part of the technical reclamation of spoil tip and quarrying sites. Each locality has its own specific conditions and requirements, so the proposals cannot be generalized for the entire territory. Pedological and geological research is necessary to make reclamation and revitalization of areas damaged by mining and mining activities more efficient. The results of the reclamation and revitalization of areas damaged by brown coal mining and industrial activities are still inadequate in many cases due, among other things, to unfavourable soil properties of the upper horizon of reclaimed localities. It is necessary to limit the negative human interference that leads to pollution, destruction and devastation of the soil. Other objective of the manuscript is to propose functional soil protection methodology for the creation and maintenance of permanent grasslands as a contribution to the ecological stability of the area and sustainable management in the Podkrušnoří landscape
