Original language description
Combustion of lignite in boilers with low and medium output brings along a range of problems, which could be removed by a production of ecological pellets on the base of lignite with biomass additive. The next task of this work was to determine the influence of sulphur content, ash content and caloric value on the production of lignite pellets with biomass additive and to determine an optimal pellet formula in terms of basic technological coal analysis. Dry hydrate was used as an additive for desulphurization. Several tests were carried out with the pressed pellets (compressive strength, splitting tensile strength), which were supposed to prove sufficient strength of the produced pellets, depending on the applied pressing device. Burning tests were carried out with pellets produced both from screened coal types and fine small ones. On the basis of the results, burning tests of the lignite pellets were accomplished and they demonstrated the potential production of ecological fuel.
