In modern power stations worldwide, fossil fuels are used to produce both heat energy and electric power. The product volume post combustion (ashes and fly ashes) reaches enormous values and represents a grave problem in the sphere of waste worldwide. Only in the Czech Republic about 13 million tons of ash materials are produced. Recently there have often been exigencies for a considerably wider usage of various solid industrial wastes, which are ever increasing, whereas some natural raw materials are beginning to run very short. The paper deals with Mostecka uhelna spolecnost, a.s.?s procedure in resolving the utilization of products post combustion of its coal in power stations and heating plants in the CR.

Moderní elektrárny používají převážně pro výrobu elektrické energie a tepla fosilní paliva. Objemy produktů po spalování (popely a popílky)jsou obrovské a představují velký problém z hlediska odpadového hospodářství. Pouze v ČR je produkováno asi 13 milionů tun těchto odpadů. Příspvěk je zaměřen na využívání produktů po spalování hnědého uhlí z elektráren v ČR v rámci společnosti Mostecká uhelná a.s.
