Reclamation work has been developing based on the extent of coal mining and maximum attention is devoted to it now. The research subject shown in this paper is to evaluate the reclamation availability of overburden rocks from opencast mines in the region, the research of the upper horizon of the dumps and the proposal for the best methodology of reclamation processes in the localities. The success rate of these procedures is proved with the results reached in the reclamation of the selected important localities of the North-Bohemian Basin. The second topic of the paper is the possibility of application of fertilizable rocks. Scientific use of the fertilizable rocks, mainly topsoil, marlites, loess, loess loams and bentonite is typical for the mines Bílina today the area of which is, from the reclamation work complexity point of view, the most demanding. But the available types of fertilizable rocks are used in all the sites.

Czech description

Rekultivační práce se rozvíjely v návaznosti na plošný rozsah těžby uhlí a v současnosti se jim věnuje maximální pozornost. Vlastním předmětem výzkumných prací popsaných v tomto příspěvku je pak posuzování rekultivační využitelnosti skrývkových hornin povrchových dolů oblasti, výzkum svrchního horizontu výsypkových lokalit a návrh optimální metodiky rekultivačních postupů na jednotlivých stanovištích. Úspěšnost těchto postupů je doložena výsledky dosaženými při rekultivaci vybraných významných lokalit severočeské pánve. Dalším tématem příspěvku jsou možnosti využití zúrodnitelných hornin. Promyšlené využívání zúrodnitelných hornin, zejména ornice, spraší, slínovců a bentonitů je dnes typické zejména pro Doly Bílina, jejichž území jsou z hlediska obtížnosti rekultivačních prací nejnáročnější. Dostupné typy zúrodnitelných hornin jsou však dnes využívány na všech těžebních lokalitách.
