Cracking of Tars Prepared By the Brown Coal Pyrolysis
Original language description
Some laboratory tests concern in the problematic of tar cracking were made. Brown coals mined in the Czech Republic were pyrolised under defined conditions with basic products: semi-coke, tar and phenolic water. These products were analyzed. Brown coal tar was consequently cracked on the carbon with high purity in continual and non-continual process under laboratory pressure and temperature higher than 850°C. Secondary tar, as a product of low pressure cracking, was analyzed in the same range as input tar. Results of these analyses were compared regarding to elementary analysis, viscosity, gas chromatography with mass spectrometry. Conclusions of the analysis were made, the most important is, that rate of high boiling hydrocarbons were cracked, alifatic hydrocarbons higher than C23 were eliminated, hydrocarbons between C20 to C23 was reduced under 50 % and rate of lower hydrocarbons raised. Also concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons and hydrocarbons with sulphur and nitrogen content
