Original language description
A region is as strong as its municipalities are. It should be interest of every regional government to support its municipalities to grow and form a strong region. This article informs about current state of the project "The assessment model for adjudication of regional disparities and the methodical procedure of its use" WD-41-07-1 which is a part of ?Research for Regional Disparities? program of the Ministry of Regional Development of Czech Republic. The project solver is ATACO s.r.o. from Ostrava. The project is aimed at analysis of the most important disparities which influenced development of small municipalities with 500-3000 inhabitants. The article briefly describes solution methods and identification of progressive or stagnating municipalities, that make an important input of the analysis of individual disparities which is also described in this article.
