    Current possibilities of GPR usage in the field of transport infrastructure

  • Original language description

    The paper describes state-of-the-art of the method use in several European countries. Beside basic GPR applications in the field of road diagnostics like a location of joint dowel bars in concrete pavement and a determination of pavement layer depths, the more complicated application possibilities are mentioned, such as detection of voids under wearing course of rigid pavements, detection of excessive amount of water in structural layers of pavements, determination of crack depth in the bituminous layers etc. The possibilities of GPR application in bridge diagnostics are introduced using similar way with focus to bridge structures.

    Příspěvek popisuje užití georadaru v několika zemích. Vedle základních aplikací jako je lokalizace výztuže a stanovení tloušťek vrstev vozovek jsou popsány další možnosti, jako je lokalizace dutin pod betonovým krytem, stanovení nadměrného obsahu vody vkonstrukčních vrstvách vozovek a stanovení hloubky trhlin asfaltových vozovek. Dále jsou zmíněny možnosti aplikace georadaru na mostní konstrukci.
