Paper deals with current foreign knowledge in the field of construction and maintenance of concrete pavements (mainly experience from USA, Austria, Germany and other European countries), which are compared with present trends in the Czech Republic. The following areas are touched in the paper: technology of construction, restoration and reconstruction of rigid pavements; lifetime of pavement quality concrete; noise and its connection to surface features of rigid pavements, etc. Among others the new information presented at 8th International Conference on Concrete Pavements (Colorado Springs / USA) in 2005 are mentioned in the paper.

Příspěvek popisuje zahraniční zkušenosti s výstavbou a údržbou cementobetonových vozovek (USA, Rakousko, Německo) a srovnává je ze situací v ČR. Zmíněny jsou technologie výstavby, oprav a rekonstrukcí cementobetonových vozovek , životnost vozovek, problematika hlučnosti provozu, atd. Mimo jiné jsou zde uvedeny některé poznatky, které byly získány na 8. mezinárodní konferenci cementobetonových vozovek, konané v USA v roce 2005.
