Original language description
Chapter deals with the issue of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs. The problem with traffic violators is not primarily their lack of skills. Rather, they lack positive attitudes towards social responsibility and obeying traffic rules. Drunk drivers especially are characterised as unreliable in traffic. Consequently, further skill training, knowledge education or a repeated driver test would not be successful in avoiding further offences. Driver rehabilitation programmes aim at self-reflection in order to raise risk awareness and change wrong attitudes—especially concerning drunk driving.
