    ROCA (Road Curvature Analyst) is a tool for automatic identification of road geometry from digital vector data. The method is capable of efficiently identifying circular curves with their radii, transition curves and tangents (straight sections), which are the results of ROCA as line features. The tool can also calculate curvature attributes (Average Deflection Angle, Detour ratio and the Number of turns) for each input line features as new attributes. In comparison with ROCA analyst 1.0, the new version of the tool can identify not only circular curves and tangents, but also transition curves. Thus, there are three geometry classes instead of two in the results. The classification algorithm is still based on the naïve Bayes classifier using kernel density estimation.
