The paper is dealing with energy-efficient retrofits of prefabricated houses built in communist era. There is a real possibility to get the most of prefabs to the passive or at least low-energy standards with all the environmental and economic consequences. The investment costs for such reconstruction are 2 -3 times higher than he usual reconstruction is.
