Original language description
Following the growth of economy and stabilisation od democracy, the Czech Republic became a target country for work migrants. Foreigners are needed in order to fill the gaps in the Czech labour supply and they also show potential to help dealing with so-called new social risks. However, new risks may also emerge as a consequence of social processes related to migration, should the migrants remain a non-integrated part of the host society. In addition, the migrants themselves are at risk as they are substantively marginalized at the labour market. It is important for the Czech society as well as for its immigrants that an efficient integration policy will be developed in order to strengthen positive effects of migration and to eliminate the negative ones. So far, a comprehensive and coordinated integration policy is missing in the CR.

Czech description
V důsledku ekonomického růstu a stabilizace demokracie se ČR stává cílovou zemí pro migrující pracovníky. Cizinci jsou potřeba, aby zaplnily nedostatečnou nabídku české pracovní síly, a mají také potenciál pomoci řešit tzv. nová sociální rizika. Nová rizika se však mohou objevit jako důsledek sociálních procesů spojených s migrací, pokud migranti zůstávají neintegrovanou částí v hostitelské společnosti. Navíc sami migranti jsou ohrožení rizikem, protože jsou na trhu práce marginalizovanou skupinou. Pročeskou společnost i pro imigranty je proto důležité, aby se rozvíjela účinná integrační politika, která posílí pozitivní a eliminuje negativní dopady migrace. Až dosud ucelená a koordinovaná integrační politika v ČR chybí.
