This chapter devotes to the question "how do workers with the elderly respond to the different policies of the Czech government in respect to statutory and non-governmental social service organisations and how do their responses modify their approach totheir clients?" The chapter describes the Czech social security system and concerning policies. Authors comment on various understandings of social work in the Czech services for the elderly. In this context, they then describe and compare dilemmas of work with the elderly that people from Municipality Home-Care and Charity Personal Care experience and their responses to these dilemmas.

Kapitola se věnuje otázce "jak pracovníci se starými lidmi reagují na různé politiky české vlády, pokud jde o veřejnoprávní a nevládní organizace sociálních služeb, a jak jejich reakce modifikují jejich přístup ke klientům"? Kapitola popisuje český systém sociálního zabezpečení a souvisejících politik. Autoři komentují různá chápání sociální práce v rámci českých služeb pro seniory. V tomto kontextu potom popisují a srovnávají dilemata práce se seniory, se kterými mají lidé z obecní domácí péče a charitativní osobní péče zkušenost, a jejich reakce na tato dilemata.
