Biosealing – additional injection works
Original language description
BioSealing is a advanced and cheap technology for sealing underground leaks. It is suitable for sealing tunnels, construction pits and car parks, but also for treatment of seepage through dikes and dams. BioSealing uses bacteria naturally present in the subsurface, which are stimulated by injecting nutrition’s near the location of the leak. After analysing the data of injection works in 2015 and data from continuous monitoring including of EIS probes, it was decided to re-inject the dam in 2016. The paper presents the results of additional injection works for the sealing of the Hornice reservoir dam in 2016.
