Influence of Production Technology on Chemical Composition and Mechanical Properties of Alloy Steel.
Original language description
The paper contains the results of the study of influence of three production technologies and the secondary metallurgy on the values of some mechanical properties of two steel grades: carbon steel CSN 412050 and alloy steel CSN 416343. The samples for determination of mechanical properties were taken from forgings made of bottom cast ingot. Experiments were carried out at ZDAS, a.s. During steel making and processing, the mechanical values degrade in the following order: EAF-LF-VD, EAF-LF and EAF. Higher values of mechanical properties were measured out during atmospheric steel casting than during vacuum steel casting as VIC method, which is caused by steel cleaness degradation by corrosion and erosion of intermediate ladle lining and by reoxidation ofexposed steel stream.
