    Optimization of the BNCT filter

  • Original language description

    The filter composition has been optimised with the aim to increase the epithermal neutron fluence rate and decrease the fast neutron dose rate using Monte Carlo MCNP-4B code. The neutron energy spectrum was measured with a set of activation foils, by a Bonner spheres spectrometer, a hydrogen filled spherical proportional counter and a fast neutron spectrometer with a stilbene crystal.
