Spatial characterization of BNCT beams
Original language description
The space distribution of the epithermal neutron flux was determined for beams of several NCT facilities in USA (MIT), Europe (Petten, Espoo, Rez) and Japan (JAERI). Using p-n diodes with Li radiator and Bonner spectrometer the beams were quantified in air .Axial and radial distributions were measured. Except for the Petten well colimated beam, the characteristics of other studied beams were found generally similar, which results from their similar designs.
