The MEDICIS and MELCOR/CORCON codes were used to analyse the corium behaviour in the VVER-1000/320 reactor cavity. The major results: cavity shape, horizontal and vertical corium penetration depths, mass of ablated concrete and release rates of steam andhydrogen were computed and compared. Relatively good agreement of the MEDICIS and CORCON results was observed. Presented at ASTEC Users Club Meeting, Aix-en-Provence, France, 2008.
