Development and application of risk monitor in Dukovany NPP
Original language description
Nuclear Research Institute (NRI) in Rez near Prague, the Czech Republic, maintains a Living Probabilistic Safety Assessment (Living PSA) program for Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), a VVER type plant in the Czech Republic. This project has been established as a framework for activities related to risk assessment and to support for risk-informed decision making at this plant. The continuously updated PSA model for all plant operational modes is being used for various PSA applications. Risk monitoringof instantaneous (pointin- time) risk during plant operation is the most extensively used PSA application at Dukovany NPP. The paper focuses on the important features of NPP Dukovany risk monitor model development and how this tool is applied at the plant. A basic Living PSA model has been developed in the RiskSpectrumR software. It is properly modified and refined to fit the needs of risk monitoring and all such changes remain a standard part of the model. This basic model is transferre
