Non-destructive identification of cable failures
Original language description
The method of cable failures non destructive identification is described on this paper. The used method is based on the evaluation of the output current signals on the cable with a defined load using the specified input signal. These measurements are performed with time intervals and in case of differences of measured signals using neural networks are established causes of these changes in the behaviour of the cable, which can lead to a reduction in its functionality. In this way it is possible to detect emerging malfunctions that still do not affect the operability of the cable, but which in the future may cause significant damage. The UJV Rez, a.s. is currently developing a software tool based on the described method. The article was publicated in Proceedings of the EHPG Meeting 2013, C5.12, HPR-379, Vol. 2, Storefjell Resort Hotel, Storefjell, Norway, 10th ? 15th March, 2013.
