The Bases for WWER Vessel Surveillance Programs: General Requirements
Original language description
Water-water energetic reactors (WWERs) are in principle pressurized water reactors (PWRs), but they are designed, manufactured, and operated according to the former Russian rules, standards, and requirements. Their surveillance specimen programs are designed, manufactured, operated, tested, and evaluated with the same aim but with some differences resulting from the different codes and approaches. This paper describes the main requirements of codes and rules for WWER surveillance program design, manufacturing, operation, testing, and test result evaluation and compare them with those for light water reactors.
