Presented work is focused on the preparation of conceptual safety measures for addressing contamination accident resulting in high volumes of contaminated water applicable for both Czech Nuclear power plants (NPPs), i.e. Temelín Nuclear Power Station (ETE) and Dukovany Nuclear Power Station (EDU). Both of which are based on pressurized water reactors (WWER type). Presented results are focused on the development of the modular decontamination system designed to removal of Cs and Sr as the most important radionuclides in contaminated water at the time of 6 months after the accident.
