Original language description
This paper describes the way for incorporation of various substances with the antimicrobial properties into the polymer, so the migration (irritation is significantly reduced). In this case, the active substance is chemically bonded on the surface of polymer particle with the active part of molecule facing continuous (water) phase and providing sufficient microbial protection to polymer dispersion in the liquid phase. Similar approach can be applied to the film protection in dry phase. All polymers weretested in liquid state or as coating films for antibacterial activity, basic coatings and mechanical properties. Coatings properties remained practically unaffected by chemical bonding of biocide group. Incorporation mechanism as well as performance offinal product in both wet and dry phase will be discussed during the presentation.
