Original language description
The contribution is focused on a preparation and a characterization of polyurethanes (PUR) combining renewable natural oil-based raw materials and PUR waste. In the first step, PUR waste was decomposed chemically by natural oil-based reagents with functional hydroxyl groups (castor oil and a fish-oil based polyol). Transesterification of urethane and urea structures of PUR by hydroxyl groups of the reagents took place and the low-viscous liquid polyol product was obtained. In the second step, the product was used as a polyol part for preparation of new PUR material. Based on the properties of the natural oil polyols, final PUR materials were design as rigid PUR foams or cast PUR systems. Processing parameters as well as final thermo-mechanical properties of the prepared PUR materials were evaluated and discussed.
