Original language description
Although not considered as such the textile production is very energy consuming. To produce just a few grams of a fabric an energy of couple of kilojoules is needed. Aside from procedures as dying or washing and subsequent drying the most consuming partof fabrication is the weaving, knitting or braiding, that is the mechanical formation of the final product. As a producer of weaving machines our company has been put to respond to increasing requirements on energy saving in weaving factories. In the presented work we tried to lay down basic analytic formulae describing the movement of an air jet introduced weft. We used basic tools of mechanics to determine process of weft picking in the shed. Together with a study of air consumption of the nozzles this will serve to set up an optimising, self adapting algorithm included in a new control system of air jet loom.
