Thermal and mechanical properties of woven basalt hybrid and non-hybrid fabric reinforced composites
Original language description
In this study, experimental investigations are carried out to check the thermal and mechanical behaviour of woven Basalt/PP and Basalt/Jute fibre hybrid woven and non hybrid woven fabric and their epoxy laminates. Three types of weaves are used for bothhybrid and non hybrid structures. Tensile testing of all the woven fabrics is carried out. The thermal properties of the fabrics, i.e. thermal resistance, diffusivity & thermal conductivity, etc. are also studied vis-a-vis physiological behaviour. Results are discussed in terms fibre effect, woven geometry and the resin effect. Fabricated composite samples subjected to mechanical properties. The thermo physiological properties are also studied.
