Original language description
This paper deals with the design of a rotating station for large and heavy products. This was a combination of requirements from practice, design and technical demands. A verification of technical requirements was accomplished using the Solidworks simulation program, which carried out a strength calculation. By checking the design using the finite element method, it was found that we needed to optimize the base support plate stiffeners. By optimizing, the weight reduction of the station and the stiffness increase have been achieved in the critical points of the design.
