Implementation of machinery at the customer in the current globalizing world brings with it specific requirements not only in development and production, but also from the time of putting the equipment into operation. Today it is common that almost all automatically controlled devices, respectively, machines and their complexes are equipped with appropriate electronics including elements with both computational and communication properties. Due to the requirements for fast and high-quality service of the equipment and thus the manufacturer's desire to continue to have its product under certain control in this context, the notion of "remote administration" is already a common parameter of the product as one of many others. This chapter deals with one of the options of remote administration solution, which is characterized by easy accessibility of both necessary HW components and SW devices at relatively very low price. At the same time, the chapter mentions resources that meet the requirements for secure data transfer between a remote server device and a production or service organization from an IT policy perspective.
