Study of Interactions between Weaving Process and Weaving Machine Systems
Original language description
Weaving is a mechanical technology of woven fabric forming. One of possible and useful ways to generalize the woven fabric formation there is the modelling based on processes that are well-known in the mechanics of rigid and flexible bodies. However, textile materials must be idealized and the properties such as homogeneity, isotropy and Hooke’s law are assigned them in the whole extent of investigation, though these properties provide only a limited measure of validity here. Nevertheless, the information obtained in this way can contribute to necessary orientation in the branch and to the solution of problems in the weaving process. The changes of position and deformation of threads are the response to the kinematic excitation of the elastic forces in threads being caused by the working links of mechanisms. The formation of the binding points in a woven fabric can be modelled as changing the position and form of flexible bodies (threads) in consequence of changing the balance of elastic and resistance forces. The elastic forces in threads are generated by the movement of the working links of machine mechanisms while the resistance forces result from the interaction of threads and environment (friction). The kinematic and dynamic parameters of the weft carrier and weft yarn insertion can be solved by means of the equations of motion. The results are presented in the form of tachographs that document the course of velocity and tensographs that record the course of forces. The dynamic models based on the principles of physical discretization are used in order to investigate some dynamic processes accompanied by impact events.
