    The subject of the paper is the evaluation of stress and life tests performed on the final parts used in the monitored transformation mechanism - linear dovetail guide. The supporting material of the parts are primarily steels of ČSN 14220.3 and ČSN 19573 class with applied coatings - selected thin layers based on TiAlN (trade name Balinit Hadlube), amorphous carbon ta-C and classical nitriding.
