    Simulation model of steel and CFRP blade for flutter measurement

  • Original language description

    The purpose of this work is to assess if the replacement of the steel blade by CFRP blade for flutter measurement is reasonable. The middle blade in a new experimental turbine blade cascade is exposed to the high inertial forces due to forced oscillations to simulate flutter conditions. Quasistatic and modal analysis are performed to evaluate suitability of the CFRP blade. The results show that the replacement is convenient and that with an CFRP blade the blade cascade could sustain higher frequencies of forced oscillation.
