Butt welding of plastics essientially differs from welding of metals, it doesn't form any melting, welding passes in the main as a process in firm phase after having brought maximum near the samples of segments for welding influenced by the viscous elastic deformation. A very frequent method to weld plastics is the so-called conduction welding. Conduction welding of thermoplastics is a method of contact welding by a heater. Warming up of the plastics sets in by conduction. In the connecting phase whichis deciding for the quality of connection, the thermal charakter of material, its viskous behaving, specific connection pressure and the resulting connectiong speed are the basic parametrs.Welding linked segments (thin ribbing on the cover of a of a dilatory box) of two different materials makes a lot of problems. First it is necessary to ensure an equable heating of the surfaces to be welded and woork out an identical thick stratum of melting.
