This work inquires mainly into experimental assesment of tribological characteristics ofbarier coatings for contact couple with method Ball-On-Disc. Steel CSN 41 250 (C45, EN 86-70, ISO683/1-87) was used as basic material for treatment. Barrier coatingswere created with methods RFPACVD (RadioFrequency Physical Assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition), MW/RF PACVD(MicroWave/RadioFrequency Physical Assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition) and RF PACVD/DCMagnetron Sputtering in conjunction with Centre Of Excellence NANODIAM on Politechnika Łódzka.Was created layer DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) with the view of using very good friction coefficient ofcarbon coatings.
