Biofuels for diesel engines in the Czech republic
Original language description
The paper addresses diesel engine fuel components made of biomass, i.e. bioethanol and biodiesel. It focuses on the biofuels characteristics, the conditions and potential for their use for diesel engines, and the impact of biofuels on engine exhaust emissions. The work briefly summarizes the history of biofuels in the Czech Republic and their anticipated future usage so as to comply with the current expectations of the European Commission respecting the gradual substitution of oil-based engine fuels with alternative ones.
