During investigation of mechanical properties of specimens of polyurethane (PU) foam which were taken from different places of the same automobile seat there can appear a question if the selection of specimen position influences obtained results. We canalso ask the question if it is possible during longtime tests to substitute the specimen which was for example unintentionally damaged by another one from adjoining position, and what difference in measured properties we can expect. In the article thereare compared mechasnical properties of four specimens of polyurethane foam which was taken from different places of the same car driver's seat. Compared quantities were measured during dynamical compression of specimens with triangle course of displacement and also during relaxational tests. The deviations of mechanical properties are given by measurement accuracy, precision of specimen dimension and also obviously by distribution of properties of polyurethane material within one product

V průběhu vyšetřování mechanických vlastností vzorků polyuretanové pěny, které byly vyříznuty z různých míst téhož automobilového sedáku, se může objevit otázka, zda výběr místa ovlivňuje získané výsledky. V článku jsou porovnána měření provedená na čtyřech vzorcích polyuretanové pěny, které byly vyříznuty z různých míst téhož automobilového sedáku. Porovnávané veličiny byly vyhodnoceny při dynamickém stlačování vzorků trojúhelníkovým průběhem polohy a při testech relaxace napětí. Uvedené odchylky mechanických vlasností jsou dány přesností měření a vyhodnocení, rozměrovou přesností vzorků a patrně také rozptylem vlasností polyuretanového materiálu v rámci jednoho výrobku.
