This study summarizes different methods of the evaluation of dynamic experiments aimed to the determination of dynamic properties of viscoelastic materials such as polymers, elastomers and other plastics. In the first part of this work we investigate thethermomechanical behaviour of carbon-black filled rubber under dynamic loading conditions. Rubber specimens were subjected to a sinusoidally varying compressive strain with different amplitudes and frequencies. The strain and the force response were recorded. The phase angle ? between strain and stress responses and storage and loss moduli were determined by different evaluation methods. In the second part of the paper we present the comparison of the suitable evaluation methods for the dynamic mechanical analysis of polymers.
