An Experimental Approach Used in Optimizing the Cutting Speeds Done by Cutting Tool inserts Made of Si3N4 - Nitride Ceramic Manufactured in the USA
Original language description
In this article the cutting performance of USA made ? nitride ceramic ? inserts type NS260, NS260C used in turning a type 422425 grey cast iron work-piece materials are compared. The important angle for the comparison was the optimization of cutting speeds to achieve the desired quality of the work-piece surface considering temperature, stiffness and lower machining time, which is important for the economic stand-point of all machinery companies. By experimenting, precious features of both compared cutting tool inserts and their suggestion for high speed cutting were discovered.
