Preheating effect to the final stresses by welding of iron aluminide
Original language description
In these days progressive intermetallic materials like Iron aluminade FeAl are more frequently used in different application. Its advantage lies in high resistency against oxidizing and sulphur environments and thus there is a pre-requisite for its broader use in the petrochemical and energy industry. Due to the specific material characteristics, welding of this material is rather complicated. The present paper focuses on lowering the inner stresses by the application of different preheating temperature, when using the 141 welding method. The individual impact assessment of the preheatings is carried out by the simulation computations.
