The poster is concerned with a summary of the results achieved in the solution of the partial assignment Appliance for manufacture of self-supporting packages, resolved in the project Research and verification of mechanical and technological units for manufacture of new products, which has been solved in frame of the Research Centre Textile II in the period 2005 - 2009. The introduction comments on the purport of the use of self-supporting packages and compares them with conventional flanged packages for sewing machines. The following parts of the poster describe individual parts of the developed and realised discontinuous technology of production of self-supporting packages, with the achieved technical parameters of the appliance and photos of wound samples of these packages
