A Case Study of Modelling concave globoidal Cam

  • Original language description

In this study, four modeling methods are developed to create the concave globoidal cam. These mothods are implemented in Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2.0 using the same input data of a concave globoidal cam with an oscillating follower. After verifying the fourmodels corresponding with the four methods, the model which is created from the graphs-based method is the one which meets the required accuracy . This method is easy to conduct in Pro/Engineer, which is one of the most used CAD/CAM packages in industry. This is also a good potential for industry application.
