Hot rolling and deformation behavior of Fe17Al4C0.3Zr alloy
Original language description
The effect of the finish rolling temperature on the deformation resistance and microstructure of a cast ferrite with a high content of aluminum and particles was investigated in the temperature range of 1089 to 1406 K. The recrystallized structure of theFe17Al4Cr0.3Zr at. % alloy was achieved, either during the hot rolling and subsequent cooling or during the recrystallization annealing after the cold rolling. The deformation behavior, as well as the softening processes, are connected with movement ofthe grain boundaries through the array of (Fe,Al)(2)Zr particles and by the interaction of dislocations with ZrC particles. It was approved that the deformation resistance of various Fe-Al alloys with different aluminum contents are similar at high temperatures. The grain size of the initial casting was refined by the applied hot rolling process by approximately one order. The annealing at 1173 K was sufficient to start the static recrystallization in the cold rolled material.
