A Numerical Investigation of Turbulent Flows Using the Detached-Eddy Simulation
Original language description
The turbulent flow simulation is investigated numerically using in-house computational code based on the Finite-Element Method with pressure-stabilized Petrov- Galerkin and Streamline Upwind Petrov-Galerkin schemes. The flow problem is represented by a three-dimensional unsteady turbulent ow past a circular cylinder at Reynolds number 3.900 and 140.000, respectively. The turbulent flow behaviour is captured numerically using the hybrid URANS/LES turbulent model group, particularly represented by Delayed-Detached-Eddy Simulation (DDES) approach.
