EXPERIMENTS WITH HYDROGEN DIRECT INJECTION ON SI ENGINE
Original language description
The paper shows a basic investigation and experiences about direct injection of hydrogen to the engine cylinder from the former experimental work in laboratory of Department of vehicles and engines on TU of Liberec and explains the newly prepared conception of testing hydrogenous engine with direct high pressure injection of hydrogen to the engine cylinder. First of all, the experiment on testing engine was aimed to observation of influence of injection pressure and timing of injected hydrogen on parameters of combustion process and on exhaust gas composition. In addition, common high-pressure indication with thermodynamic analyses and statistical elaboration of engine working cycle parameters was monitored the concentration of unburned hydrogen content in exhaust gas. The results of performed measurements indicate that the direct high-pressure injection of hydrogen to the engine cylinder is very complicated system to achieve an essential quality of homogeneous mixture.
