The textile material (warp) is stressed cyclically at a relative high frequency during the weaving process. The standard devices for testing of textile materials (dynamometers) do not allow for the measuring of threads at a frequency due to the weaving process. Therefore, the special testing device (VibTex) for simulation of the textile material?s stress during the weaving process has been devised in the Weaving Laboratory of the TU-Liberec. This paper includes a theoretical part and an experimental part. The theoretical part includes a description of the shed opening on the warp elongation and a description of the VibTex device. The experimental part includes measurements results for different textile materials (for three types of yearns). The conclusion part of this paper includes the confrontation of the deformation behaviour (the module of rigidity) for individual types of yarns and a discussion of this results.
