Nowadays, Alternative fuels used in Internal combustion engine (ICE) are becoming main subjects of Governments worldwide interesting by the fast depletion of crude oil fuels and the environmental pollution. Many researchers to find ways to use environmentally friendly and renewable sources of energy. Among the alternatives found to be superior to present gasoline is natural gas, hydrogen, and LPG etc... Research and experiments on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have demonstrated that this fuel is suitable as an alternative to conventional fuel. Its performances are equal nearly the conventional fuel and it can run cleaner at attractive prices and in larger operating range. This paper presents the research and application of LPG in Vietnam in recent years, ability to facilitate the development LPG vehicles in Vietnam.
