Original language description
This article deals with the propagation of cracks in the fabric that could be applicable as an alternative material for weight reduction of the current car seats. It deals mainly with a dynamic damage of the textile sample. This information is very important because during the car crash a significant overload of human body, which can cause the structural deformation and rupture of fabric having a support function, may appear. Thus the identification of the main stage of the crack propagation in this type of fabric is required primarily for passenger safety. The experimental dynamic studies have established the rupture initiation in stiffening of structure and significant deformation of the test sample. For a comprehensive description of crack propagation in the fabric FE model, which included non-linear orthotropic properties of the structure with material failure was established.
