This paper is a contribution to the topic determination of measurement uncertainties in calibration of measuring instruments, especially the gauge blocks. The topic is determination of the measurement uncertainty in the comparing method of the calibration of gauge blocks (nominal lengths ranging from 0,5 mm to 100 mm) as a secondary standards of the Czech Metrology Institute workplace, the Regional Inspectorate of Liberec. The paper describes the method of the determination of the measurement uncertainty of gauge blocks in the conditions of calibration laboratories and gives example of the result of the measurement uncertainty of the gauge block selected etalon.
